Ah, well.In any case, it is a very "straightforward" device and should work with any usb port. Had it been long enough (another ten feet would have worked), I could have used my laptop while at my kitchen table. Just consider the length if you think you'd like to be a reasonable distance from your printer. I recently purchased this so I could hook up my new HP printer to my new HP laptop. Unfortunately, the cord isn't as long as I hoped it would be, leaving me to figure out where to perch my notebook when I need to print something (my printer is near my old desktop which is not compatible with the new printer).
It works and I love the length.my laptop could be far away from my printer
If you're looking for an inexpensive USB cable, this is a great choice.
